Concrete Canvas® (CC) is used for a wide range of erosion control applications. It allows concrete construction with minimal plant and specialist training.
Typically ten-times faster to install than conventional solutions, essentially its Concrete on a Roll: simply unroll and Just Add Water.
Concrete Canvas CC
CC consists of a 3-dimensional fibre matrix containing a specially formulated dry concrete mix. A PVC backing on one surface of the CC ensures the material is completely water proof.
CC can be hydrated by spraying or full immersion in fresh or salt water. Once set, the fibres reinforce the concrete, preventing crack propagation and providing a safe plastic failure mode, to provide a thin, durable, water proof and low-carbon concrete layer.
CC is available in 3 thicknesses: CC5™, CC8™ and CC13™, which are respectively 5, 8 and 13mm thick.
CC Hydro
CC Hydro™ is the world’s first all-in-one armoured impermeable liner for a wide range of containment applications, such as bund lining, lagoon lining, concrete remediation and tank base lining. CC Hydro™ removes the need for protective top cover, dramatically reducing installation times and simplifying logistics.
CC Hydro™ (CCH) combines the concrete filled geotextile technology of Concrete Canvas® with a highly impermeable, chemically resistant geomembrane liner. The liner incorporates a hi-visibility welding strip which allows joints to be thermally welded with a double-track or triple-track air channel for on-site testing.
The product was specifically developed for applications within the Petrochemical and Oil & Gas industries.
CCH is available in 5mm and 8mm thicknesses: CCH5™ and CCH8™ respectively.
CC Shelters
Concrete Canvas® Shelters (CCS) are rapidly deployable hardened shelters that require only water and air for construction. Essentially, it’s a building in a bag.
CC Shelters (CCS) use inflation to create a surface that is optimised for compressive loading. This allows thin-walled concrete structures to be formed which are both robust and lightweight.
CCS are constructed from Concrete Canvas CC13, bonded to the outer surface of a plastic inner. Once inflated, it which forms a Nissen-Hut shaped structure.
CCS are deployed in four stages: delivery, inflation, hydration and setting.
