Concrete Canvas® products are flexible, concrete-filled geosynthetics (GCCMs) that harden when hydrated to form a thin, durable, waterproof and lower-carbon concrete layer. Essentially, it’s Concrete on a Roll™: unroll, fix in place and just add water.
Typically ten times faster to install than conventional concrete, with minimal plant and no mixing. After hydration there is about a 2-hour working window, and the material reaches its service strength in 24 hours. Made in the UK by Concrete Canvas Ltd. ROUSSE is the exclusive distributor in Lebanon.

Concrete Canvas® CCT (formerly CC)
Concrete Canvas® consists of a 3-dimensional fibre matrix containing a specially formulated dry concrete mix, with a PVC backing on one face that makes it completely waterproof. It can be hydrated by spraying or full immersion in fresh or salt water. Once set, the fibres reinforce the concrete, preventing crack propagation and giving a safe plastic failure mode.
Concrete Canvas® is the recommended choice for complex surfaces and sites with limited access: ditch and stormwater drainage lining, contoured slope protection, culvert lining, berm lining, remediation and weed suppression. It also offers excellent chemical resistance, for example against hydrocarbons.
The former grades CC5, CC8 and CC13 are now called CCT1, CCT2 and CCT3 (ASTM D8364 Type I, II and III).

CC Hydro
CC Hydro™ is the world’s first all-in-one armoured impermeable liner for a wide range of containment applications, such as bund lining, lagoon lining, concrete remediation and tank base lining. CC Hydro™ removes the need for protective top cover, dramatically reducing installation times and simplifying logistics.
CC Hydro™ (CCH) combines the concrete filled geotextile technology of Concrete Canvas® with a highly impermeable, chemically resistant geomembrane liner. The liner incorporates a hi-visibility welding strip which allows joints to be thermally welded with a double-track or triple-track air channel for on-site testing.
The product was specifically developed for applications within the Petrochemical and Oil & Gas industries.
CCH is available in 5mm and 8mm thicknesses: CCH5™ and CCH8™ respectively.

CCX®
CCX® is a low-permeability engineered concrete revetment for erosion and seepage control on large, uniformly profiled ditches, irrigation canals, stormwater channels, spillways, berms and hydro-electric flumes. It combines the low permeability of a geomembrane with the protection and durability of concrete, and has a lifespan in excess of 50 years based on environmental exposure testing. CCX® is slightly stiffer than Concrete Canvas®, so it suits large uniform profiles rather than undulating surfaces.
CCX® comes in two variants:
- CCX-MAT® (CCX-M®), with a 0.3 mm LLDPE geomembrane backing for very low permeability (canal lining, slopes with hydraulic flow, lagoon and berm lining). Jointed with screws, adhesive sealant and thermal bonding.
- CCX-UTILITY® (CCX-U®), without the LLDPE backing, for erosion protection where permeability is not critical (slopes exposed to wind and rain). Jointed with screws and/or thermal bonding.

CC Shelters
Concrete Canvas® Shelters (CCS) are rapidly deployable hardened shelters that require only water and air for construction. Essentially, it’s a building in a bag.
CC Shelters (CCS) use inflation to create a surface that is optimised for compressive loading. This allows thin-walled concrete structures to be formed which are both robust and lightweight.
CCS are constructed from Concrete Canvas CC13, bonded to the outer surface of a plastic inner. Once inflated, it which forms a Nissen-Hut shaped structure.
CCS are deployed in four stages: delivery, inflation, hydration and setting.
