The SAIT Abrasivi SAITDISC A-X 125 mm is an open-coat aluminium oxide abrasive fiber disc for general metalworking, made in Italy and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse. It fits 5″ (12.5 cm) angle grinders with a 22 mm centre hole and a backing pad.

Open structure aluminium oxide fiber sanding disc for general applications. It removes paint, rust and mill scale quickly and resists clogging on soft or coated materials.

SAITDISC aluminium oxide fibre discs on high-strength vulcanised fibre with synthetic resin bond: fast and aggressive with high abrasive power on steels and non-ferrous metals. • Always mount fibre discs on the matching SAITPAD backing pad with its locking nut.
• Store flat in the original pack at 15–25 °C and 45–75 % relative humidity so the discs stay flat.
• On special order: round bore with 4 slots, and semi-depressed centre (BS) discs for 180 mm.

Safety

Always mount the disc on a suitable backing pad, check that the grinder speed does not exceed the speed marked on the disc, and wear eye, hand and hearing protection.

FAQ

What is a fiber disc used for?
A fiber disc is a resin-bonded abrasive on a vulcanised fibre backing, mounted on an angle grinder with a backing pad. The aluminium oxide version is the general-purpose choice for steel: rust and paint removal, weld blending and surface preparation.

Can I use it on stainless steel?
It will cut stainless, but for stainless steel choose the SAITDISC 3A-X, zirconia or 9S ceramic discs, which run cooler and avoid discolouring the metal.

What is a fiber disc called in Lebanon?
In Lebanon and the Arab region, fiber discs are usually called wara2 saroukh (ورق صاروخ), wara2 jalkh (ورق جلخ), disc jalekh or s7oun jalekh (صحون جلخ), and sometimes wara2 sanfara (ورق صنفرة). For this disc, ask for wara2 saroukh lal 7adid (ورق صاروخ للحديد).
