OXALIC – Davsa Oxalic Acid

Oxaquim Davsa oxalic acid — the “salt” used with a floor machine to polish marble and terrazzo to a high shine.

Available as crystals (Type C) or powder (Type P) in 25 kg bags.

Applications

• Polishing marble and terrazzo floors after grinding
• Removing rust and some stains from marble
• Restoring shine on dull marble

How to use it

1. Grind and hone the floor to the last grade.
2. Dissolve or sprinkle a little oxalic acid with water on the floor.
3. Polish with a floor machine and felt pad until the shine comes up, then rinse well with clean water.

Safety

Oxalic acid is harmful if swallowed and irritating to skin and eyes. Wear gloves, eye protection and a dust mask, rinse the floor well after use, keep away from children and food.

FAQ

Crystals or powder?
Crystals dissolve slowly and are used in water; powder is sprinkled directly on the floor. The polishing result is the same.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually mel7 jalli (ملح جلي).
