ELASTOTET S-100 is a high-performance acetoxy silicone made in Greece and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse. It keeps its properties for over 15 years under sun, rain and frost, resists temperatures from −50 to +180 °C, does not yellow, and stretches up to 800%, which makes it the choice for demanding glass and heavy-duty joints. The crystal-clear version is used for aquariums; the white version for sanitary joints.

How to apply

1. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust, grease and old sealant.
2. Cut the cartridge above the thread, screw on the nozzle and cut it at an angle to the joint width.
3. Apply in one continuous bead and tool with a wet spatula or finger within the skin time.
4. Silicone cures from the surface inward at about 2–3 mm in the first 24 hours; do not fill joints deeper than 2 cm in one go.
5. Silicone cannot be painted.

FAQ

Why is S-100 called the 15-year silicone?
Elastotet rates S-100 to keep its properties for more than 15 years under harsh sun, rain and frost, much longer than general-purpose silicones.

Can I use S-100 for an aquarium?
Yes, the crystal-clear S-100 is the one used for aquariums and glass constructions. Do not use S-400, which contains fungicide.

Acetoxy or neutral silicone?
Acetoxy silicones (S-100, S-400, S-200) cure fast and smell of vinegar; they are ideal on glass, aluminium and glazed ceramics. Neutral silicone (S-900) has almost no smell, does not corrode metals and bonds better to concrete, stone, mortar and porous surfaces.

Is silicone harmful once it has cured?
Fresh acetoxy silicone can irritate skin and eyes. Once it has cured, usually within about 24 hours, it is considered harmless.

Which silicone for a swimming pool or permanent water contact?
Because of chlorine, Elastotet recommends only transparent S-900 neutral silicone for pools. Porous surfaces such as concrete need a primer.

السيليكون مع أسيد وهو طري ممكن يهيّج الجلد والعيون. بعد ما ينشف، عادةً خلال 24 ساعة، بيعتبر غير مضرّ.

أي سيليكون للبيسين أو للمي الدائمة؟
بسبب الكلور، ELASTOTET بتنصح بس بسيليكون S-900 الشفاف للبيسين. السطوح المسامية متل الباطون بدها برايمر.
