VF150 – Structured Foam Velcro Disc For Opacity and Fine Polishing

SAIT structured foam velcro discs, 150 mm, P2000 to P4000, for removing paint defects and creating a uniform matt (opaque) surface before final polishing. Made in Italy by SAIT Abrasivi and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse. The foam backing follows curves and gives a very even scratch pattern.

Applications

• Removing dust nibs and orange peel from clear coat
• Matting (opacity) before blending and spot repairs
• Fine finishing before polishing compound

Choosing the grit

Specifications

On special order: other diameters, hole patterns and grits from the SAIT velcro range, and matching velcro backing pads. Ask us for lead time.

Check that the disc and backing pad are rated for your machine speed, keep the guard on and wear eye, dust and hearing protection.

FAQ

What do I need to use velcro discs?
A machine with a velcro (hook-and-loop) backing pad of the same diameter: an angle grinder with a velcro pad, a random-orbit sander or a wall sander. For holed discs, line the holes up with the pad holes.

Which grit should I start with?
Start with the finest grit that removes the defect, then go up step by step without skipping more than one grit.

What do people call them in Lebanon?
Usually wara2 shli5 shla5 or wara2 velcro (ورق صاروخ شليخ شلخ).
