POWER/PAD standard backing pads for fibre discs on angle grinders — the black rigid support pad that sits behind a fibre disc and spreads the pressure evenly. Available with M10 and M14 threads from 100 to 170 mm.

Pair them with SAIT fibre discs (AO, 3A, AZ, 9S, C) for grinding welds, removing rust and paint, and preparing metal, stainless steel and stone.

• Sanding stone and marble with silicon carbide fibre discs

How to use it

1. Choose the pad size for your disc (110 mm pad for 115 mm discs, 170 mm pad for 180 mm discs).
2. Screw the pad onto the grinder spindle (M10 or M14), place the fibre disc on it and tighten with the locking nut.
3. Work with the disc at a shallow angle of 15–30° and let the abrasive do the work.

FAQ

Which pad do I need for a 115 mm fibre disc?
The 110 mm pad. It is slightly smaller than the disc so the abrasive edge stays free. For 180 mm discs use the 170 mm pad.

M10 or M14?
Check your grinder spindle: most 115–125 mm and all 180–230 mm grinders in Lebanon are M14; some small or older grinders use M10.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually tara sarou5 (طارة صاروخ).
