ELASTOTET ACRYLIC is a one-component, water-based acrylic sealant made in Greece and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse. It fills joints and cracks in porous materials indoors and outdoors, does not sag, resists UV, weather and frost once cured, and can be painted over. ACRYLIC PRO 6000 is the high-performance version: more elastic (up to 12% joint movement), rain resistant a few hours after application and with a longer working time in hot weather.

Where to use it

• Gaps between walls and window or door frames, and under sills
• Wall and ceiling cracks before painting
• Joints in plaster, concrete, brick and wood, indoors and outdoors
• Exterior joints exposed to rain soon after application (ACRYLIC PRO 6000)

How to apply

1. Apply above +10 °C and avoid rain for the first hours (PRO 6000 resists rain after a few hours).
2. Brush off dust and loose particles; mask the joint edges with tape.
3. Cut the nozzle at an angle, apply, tool with a spatula within about 5 minutes and remove the tape before the skin forms.
4. Clean fresh sealant with (warm) water. Paint after curing; full properties after about a month.

FAQ

Can I paint over acrylic sealant?
Yes. Acrylic can be painted once it has cured; it is the usual choice for gaps and cracks before painting. Silicone cannot be painted.

Is acrylic waterproof?
It resists weather and frost once cured, but it is not for joints permanently in water such as tanks, and it must not get rained on in the first hours after application.

ACRYLIC or ACRYLIC PRO 6000?
Standard ACRYLIC is perfect for interior gaps and cracks. ACRYLIC PRO 6000 is more elastic, resists rain within a few hours and stays workable longer in heat, so it is better for exterior frames and walls.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually ma3joun acrylic or ma3joun dehen (painter’s filler); in Arabic معجون أكريليك or معجونة اكريليك يوناني.

الأكريليك العادي ممتاز للفواصل والشقوق الداخلية. PRO 6000 أمطّ، بيتحمّل الشتي بعد كم ساعة وبيضل طري أطول بالشوب، فهو أحسن للإطارات والحيطان البرّانية.
