ELASTOTET polyurethane foams are one-component, moisture-curing expanding foams made in Greece and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse. The foam roughly doubles in volume as it cures, bonds to wood, concrete, stone and metal (even damp), and gives thermal and sound insulation. One 750 ml can yields about 40–45 litres of cured foam.

• LastoFoam Gun (750 ml): for the foam gun; higher yield, precise bead, and the can can be reused over days.
• LastoFoam / ISOFIX Adapter (750 / 700 ml): with straw adapter, no gun needed; use the can in one go.
• LastoFoam Low Expansion: very low post-expansion, so door and window frames are not pushed out of shape.
• LastoFoam Fire B1 / B2: fire-retardant foams, flammability class B1 and B2 under DIN 4102, supplied as 2-hour (B1) and 1-hour (B2) fire-retardant foams for fire door frames and fire-stopping. Fire-resistance time depends on the joint size and installation; the supplier certificate is available on request.
• Professional Foam Gun and Gun Cleaner 500 ml.

Where to use it

• Fixing and insulating door and window frames, stairs and sills
• Filling cavities, large cracks, joints and openings around pipes
• Insulating roofs, partitions and sound-insulating walls

How to apply

1. Apply between +5 and +35 °C. Moisten the surfaces lightly; they can be damp but not icy.
2. Shake the can well, fit the gun or adapter and fill the gap only about half way: the foam expands.
3. Skin forms in 7–8 minutes; cut the excess after curing (up to 24 hours).
4. Protect cured foam from sunlight with paint, mortar or sealant: it is UV sensitive. Clean fresh foam and the gun with the gun cleaner.

FAQ

Gun foam or adapter (straw) foam?
Gun foam gives a noticeably higher yield and a more precise bead, and a partly used can stays usable for days because the gun valve does not clog. Straw foam needs no gun but must be used up at once.

What do B1, B2 and B3 mean?
They are fire classes under DIN 4102: B1 is the most slow-burning, B2 burns slowly and B3 has normal flammability. Almost all foams are B3; B1 and B2 are used mainly around fire-rated door frames.

Which foam for fixing door and window frames?
LastoFoam Low Expansion: it barely expands after application, so it does not bend the frame.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually sbray foam or foam; in Arabic سبراي فوم or فوم PU.

فوم فرد أو فوم مع أنبوب؟
فوم الفرد بيعطي كمية أكبر بكتير وخط أدقّ، والعلبة المفتوحة بتضل صالحة لأيام لأن صمام الفرد ما بيسدّ. فوم الأنبوب ما بدّه فرد بس لازم يخلص دغري.

شو يعني B1 وB2 وB3؟
هيدي درجات مقاومة الحريق حسب DIN 4102: B1 الأبطأ اشتعالاً، B2 بطيء، وB3 عادي. أغلب الفوم B3؛ B1 وB2 بيستعملوا خصوصاً حول إطارات أبواب الحريق.
