ELASTOTET ELASTOSEAL PU in 600 ml foil sausages is the professional pack of the same polyurethane joint sealant: about twice the content of a cartridge, less packaging waste and a lower cost per metre of joint. Made in Greece and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse, together with the matching 600 ml sausage gun.

Two grades: ELASTOSEAL PU 25 LM, soft and low modulus for expansion joints (grey, white, beige, terracotta, black), and ELASTOSEAL PU 50 FC, harder and faster curing (black). Need a smaller pack? See the 310 ml cartridges.

Where to use it

• Long runs of expansion joints in floors, car parks, slabs and façades
• Precast concrete panel joints and curtain wall perimeters
• Industrial, vehicle and container joints (PU 50 FC)

How to apply

1. Joint faces must be clean, dry and free of dust, oil, grease and old sealant. Degrease with solvent on a clean cloth.
2. Primer is not normally needed; on concrete joints use Primer VL and apply the sealant 15 minutes to 3 hours later.
3. Insert a closed-cell polyethylene backer rod so the sealant bonds only to the two sides of the joint.
4. Cut the nozzle at an angle to the joint width, apply in one continuous bead without air pockets, and tool with a dry spatula into a slightly concave finish before it skins.
5. Clean fresh sealant with xylene or white spirit; cured sealant can only be removed mechanically.

Pack: 600 ml aluminium sausage, 15 per carton. A 600 ml sausage gun is required.

FAQ

Why buy sausages instead of cartridges?
A 600 ml sausage holds about twice a cartridge, leaves almost no packaging waste and costs less per metre of joint. You need a sausage gun, which we also sell.

PU 25 LM or PU 50 FC?
PU 25 LM is soft (Shore A 25) and low modulus, so it follows large movements in concrete expansion joints, façades and precast panels. PU 50 FC is harder (Shore A 50) and cures faster, for hard-wearing joints in vehicle bodies, metal, industrial and marine work.

PU sealant or silicone?
PU sealants can be painted, are tougher and suit concrete and construction joints. Silicone resists heat and UV better and suits glass and sanitary joints, but cannot be painted.

How wide and deep should the joint be?
Between 5 and 40 mm wide. Up to 20 mm make the depth equal to the width; above 20 mm make the width twice the depth. Always use a backer rod.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually sojo2 PU (sausage), ma3joun PU or ma3joun fawasel; in Arabic سجق PU or معجونة بوليرتان.

السجق 600 مل فيه تقريباً ضعف الخرطوش، ما بيترك نفايات تقريباً وكلفته أقل عالمتر. بتحتاج فرد سجق، ومنبيعه كمان.

PU 25 LM أو PU 50 FC؟
PU 25 LM طري (Shore A 25) فبيلحق الحركة الكبيرة بفواصل التمدد بالباطون والواجهات والقطع الجاهزة. PU 50 FC أقسى (Shore A 50) وبينشف أسرع، للفواصل يلي بتتعرّض لاحتكاك بالسيارات والمعادن والشغل الصناعي والبحري.

معجون PU أو سيليكون؟
معجون PU بينطلى فوقه، أقوى وبيناسب فواصل الباطون والبناء. السيليكون بيتحمّل الحرارة والشمس أكتر وبيناسب الزجاج والحمامات، بس ما بينطلى.

قديش لازم يكون عرض وعمق الفاصل؟
بين 5 و40 ملم عرض. لحد 20 ملم العمق متل العرض؛ فوق 20 ملم العرض ضعف العمق. دايماً حطّ حبل فوم (باكر رود) تحت المعجون.

شو اسمه بلبنان؟
عادةً سجق PU، معجون PU أو معجون فواصل.
