Additional information

ELASTOTET SILIPROOF is an invisible silicone water repellent for stone, brick and concrete walls, made in Greece and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse. It soaks deep into the pores of the surface without forming a film, so water beads off and rain no longer soaks into the wall, while the stone keeps its natural look and can still breathe.

Available in two versions: Clear (solvent-based silicone solution, SILIPROOF 4 L and 17 L) and Matt (SILIPROOF-W: water-based lithium-silica solution, 1 L, 4 L and 20 L).

Where to use it

Natural stone façades, limestone and marble cladding
Exposed (fair-faced) concrete, unpainted plaster and fibre cement
Decorative brick and roof tiles
Tile joints, to stop water getting in
As a breathable primer before emulsion or silicone paints

Not for wet surfaces or non-porous materials such as glazed tiles.

How to apply

Surface must be clean, dry and free of oil and dust.
Apply by roller, brush or low-pressure spray in two coats, applying the second coat while the first is still wet (“wet on wet”).
Apply between +5 and +40 °C, not before rain.

FAQ

Will SILIPROOF change the colour of my stone?
No. It penetrates the pores without leaving a film, so the appearance of the stone, brick or concrete does not change.

How long does it last?
Its water repellency lasts several years; reapply when water stops beading on the surface.

Clear or Matt (W)?
The clear solvent-based version penetrates deepest and suits dense stone and concrete. The water-based W version has low odour and is easier to use indoors and near people.

Does it waterproof a roof?
No. SILIPROOF is for walls and vertical porous surfaces. For roofs use LASTOFLEX PU or LASTOFLEX ST.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually water seal, mane3 nesh lal 7ajar (anti-seepage for stone) or 3azel shaffef (clear waterproofing); in Arabic واتر سيل or مانع نش للحجر.

سيليبروف بيغيّر لون الحجر؟
لا. بيدخل بمسام الحجر بدون ما يعمل طبقة، فشكل الحجر أو الطوب أو الباطون ما بيتغيّر.

قديش بيدوم؟
مفعوله بيدوم كم سنة؛ عيد الدهن لمّا تشوف المي ما عادت عم تزحط عن الحجر.

الشفاف أو المات (W)؟
الشفاف أساسه مذيب وبيدخل أعمق، بيناسب الحجر والباطون القاسي. نسخة W مائية، ريحتها خفيفة وأسهل بالأماكن المسكّرة وقرب الناس.

بيعزل السطح؟
لا. سيليبروف للحيطان والسطوح العامودية المسامية. للسطوح استعمل لاستوفلكس PU أو ST.

شو اسمه بلبنان؟
عادةً واتر سيل، مانع نش للحجر أو عازل شفاف.
