ELASTOTET WINDSHIELD PU 230 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive for bonding car windscreens, made in Greece and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse. It is also used for elastic, structural bonds between similar or different materials that face high mechanical and thermal stress, such as metal sheets and fibreglass in industry, boats and vehicle bodies.

Where to use it

Windscreen and fixed glass replacement in cars, vans and buses
Bonding glass, aluminium and metal in vehicle and marine work
Structural elastic joints in doors, windows and yachts, outdoors, in rain, sun and sea water

How to apply

Clean and degrease the bonding surfaces.
On glass and painted metal, use a suitable windshield primer; ask us for ELASTOTET Windshield Black Primer or Primer DM.
Apply a continuous triangular bead with a cartridge gun and set the glass within the skin time.
Follow the vehicle maker’s safe drive-away time before using the vehicle.

FAQ

Can I fix a windscreen with silicone?
No. Windscreens are part of the car structure and need a polyurethane windscreen adhesive such as WINDSHIELD PU 230; silicone is not strong enough.

Do I need a primer?
On glass and painted surfaces a windshield primer is normally used to ensure adhesion. Ask us which ELASTOTET primer suits your job.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually ma3joun zjej sayyara, ghira zjej or PU lal zjej; in Arabic غراء زجاج السيارة.
