قشاط سمبادج قماش ضيّق

SAITEXN narrow abrasive cloth belts from SAIT Abrasivi, made in Italy and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse. The first size in stock is the 30 x 530 mm belt in black silicon carbide, P60, for glass. It fits the Makita 9031 belt file (the small “finger” belt sander) and other belt files that take 30 mm wide belts of about 530 mm.

Where to use it

• Arrising and seaming glass edges: taking off the sharp edge after cutting
• Grinding small chips and flares on glass and mirror edges
• Corners, notches and cut-outs that a wheel or edging machine can’t reach
• On-site touch-ups for glass and aluminium fit-out teams

How to use it

1. Unplug the tool, open the tension lever and slide the belt on with the arrow on the back pointing in the running direction.
2. Close the lever and adjust the tracking so the belt runs in the centre of the arm.
3. Work with light pressure and keep the belt moving along the edge. Silicon carbide cuts glass fast. Let the grit do the work and don’t overheat the edge.
4. Replace the belt when it stops cutting or the edge starts to chip.

Safety

Never exceed the maximum speed of the belt, keep the guard in place and wear eye protection, gloves and a dust mask. Glass dust and splinters are sharp.

FAQ

Does it fit the Makita 9031?
Yes. The Makita 9031 belt file takes 30 mm wide belts of about 530 mm, and this SAIT belt is 30 x 530 mm. If you have a different belt file, send us the belt size printed on the tool or on your old belt.

Why silicon carbide for glass?
Silicon carbide is harder and sharper than aluminium oxide. It cuts hard, brittle materials like glass and stone fast and cleanly, while aluminium oxide is better for wood and metal.

Can I get other sizes, grits or abrasives?
Yes. Any size, any grit and any abrasive type are made to order in 2 working days, production and delivery included.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually 2achat sembedj (قشاط سمبادج) or simply “2achat Makita”.

Do you deliver across Lebanon?
Yes. Delivery is $5 for orders below $200 (before VAT) and free from $200.
