ELASTOTET primers prepare concrete and other surfaces before LASTOFLEX waterproofing membranes, ELASTOSEAL PU sealants and polyurethane floors. Made in Greece and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse. Choose the primer by the condition of the surface:

Primer VL

Liquid primer that improves the adhesion of ELASTOTET products on porous mineral substrates and strengthens weak concrete surfaces. Apply a thin, continuous coat with a clean brush or roller, between +5 and +30 °C. Coverage 8–10 m² per kg (about 200 g/m² for flooring on concrete). Apply LASTOFLEX PU or ELASTOSEAL PU once tack-free, from 15 minutes up to 3 hours after priming. Pour out only what you will use in 30 minutes and close the tin.

Primer EP-W

Transparent, two-component, water-based epoxy primer that penetrates deeply and can be used on damp concrete. Mix A:B = 4:1 by weight for 3–5 minutes, dilute with 20–30% clean water, and apply 1–2 coats by roller or brush: about 100 g/m² on non-absorbent and 200 g/m² on absorbent surfaces. Apply LASTOFLEX PU or ST after 8–12 hours (not later than 24 hours) while the primer is still slightly tacky. Pot life 60 minutes.

FAQ

Do I need a primer before LASTOFLEX PU?
LASTOFLEX PU can bond without primer, but Primer VL is recommended on concrete to strengthen the surface and improve adhesion. On damp concrete or tiles use Primer EP-W.

My roof is still damp. Which primer?
Primer EP-W. It is water based, tolerates moisture and acts as a moisture barrier before the membrane.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually primer or brimer, asas (base coat) or primer lal 3azl; in Arabic برايمر or أساس قبل العزل.

Can I use another brand of primer?
Elastotet recommends using only its own primers (Primer VL, Primer EP-W, Primer W40) under LASTOFLEX. Mixing systems from different brands can cause adhesion failure.

لاستوفلكس PU بيلزق بلا برايمر، بس Primer VL منصوح فيه عالباطون ليقوّي السطح ويحسّن اللزق. عالباطون الرطب أو البلاط استعمل Primer EP-W.

السطح بعدو رطب، أي برايمر؟
Primer EP-W. مائي، بيتحمّل الرطوبة وبيشتغل كحاجز رطوبة قبل العزل.

فيني استعمل برايمر من ماركة تانية؟
ELASTOTET بتنصح تستعمل البرايمر تبعها بس (VL أو EP-W أو W40) تحت لاستوفلكس. خلط الأنظمة من ماركات مختلفة ممكن يخرب اللزق.
