ELASTOTET glazing sealants are high-strength, solvent-free, one-component sealants in 600 ml sausages for the glass and aluminium industry, made in Greece and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse.

• SG-1K: silicone-based structural glazing adhesive for bonding insulating glass units to metal frames in curtain walls and solar panels.
• IG-1K: elastomeric secondary sealant for insulating (double) glass units, structural glazing and solar heaters.

• Structural glazing and curtain walls (SG-1K)
• Double-glazing / insulating glass units (IG-1K as secondary seal over butyl)
• Solar panels and solar water heaters
• Bonding glass to coated or uncoated aluminium, galvanised steel and stainless steel

How to apply

1. Clean the surfaces; on coated aluminium use ELASTOTET NBM Cleaner first.
2. SG-1K: apply on the metal frame and press the glass on within the skin time (5–15 min). Avoid adhesive thicknesses over 15 mm; joint size must be calculated from the glass size and loads.
3. IG-1K: in double glazing use butyl tape or sealant as the primary seal and IG-1K as the secondary seal.

Do I need a primer?
Generally no. Clean coated aluminium with ELASTOTET NBM Cleaner before applying.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually silicone zjej dabel, ma3joun double glazing or silicone structural; in Arabic سيليكون زجاج دبل.
