ELASTOTET LASTOFLEX PB is a black waterproofing membrane that combines elastomeric polyurethane with bituminous resins, made in Greece and supplied in Lebanon by Rousse. It is the heavy-duty choice for below-ground and under-tile waterproofing: highly elastic (1000% elongation), fast curing, very resistant to water, and strongly bonded to porous concrete.

Two versions are available: PB-1K, ready to use from the can, and PB-2K, a two-component A+B system for larger jobs.

PB-2K mixes 1 : 1 by volume, skins in 60–90 minutes and reaches 900% elongation and 9.3 N/mm² tensile strength, with excellent resistance to standing water.

How to apply

Clean the surface of loose particles and dust. Avoid rainy weather.
Prime with Primer VL to strengthen the concrete, or Primer EP-W if the concrete is damp.
Seal joints and cracks with ELASTOSEAL PU.
Apply 1–3 coats by roller, brush or airless spray, 2 to 48 hours apart, for a total of 1.3–1.8 kg/m². For PB-2K, mix components A and B fully with a low-speed mixer first.

LASTOFLEX PB is not UV stable; it must be covered (tiles, screed, soil or protection board) or top coated.

FAQ

What is the difference between PB and PU?
LASTOFLEX PB contains bitumen and is black and not UV stable, so it is used where it will be covered: foundations, basements and under tiles. LASTOFLEX PU is UV resistant and can be left exposed on roofs.

1K or 2K?
PB-1K is ready to use and cures with air humidity. PB-2K is mixed from two components and cures by reaction, which suits thick coats and larger jobs.

Can I tile over it?
Yes, it is designed for bathrooms and balconies under tiles; use a flexible C2S1 tile adhesive.

What do people call it in Lebanon?
Usually zeft (زفت), 3azel zeft, 3azl asasat (foundation waterproofing) or 3azl PU aswad; in Arabic عازل زفت بولي يوريثان.

Is a liquid membrane better than bitumen rolls?
A liquid membrane bonds 100% to the roof with no seams or overlaps. If it is ever damaged, water cannot travel underneath it, so the leak is easy to find and repair locally. With sheet membranes, leaks are hard to trace and often mean removing the whole membrane.

PB-1K جاهز وبينشف من رطوبة الهوا. PB-2K بيتخلط من مكوّنين وبينشف بالتفاعل، بيناسب الطبقات السميكة والشغل الكبير.

فيني بلّط فوقه؟
إيه، معمول للحمامات والبلاكين تحت البلاط؛ استعمل غراء بلاط مرن C2S1.

العزل السائل أحسن من رولات الزفت؟
العزل السائل بيلزق 100% عالسطح بدون وصلات ولا تراكب. إذا انجرح، المي ما بتمشي تحته، فبتلاقي مكان النش بسهولة وبتصلّحه بمطرحه. مع الرولات، النش صعب يتلاقى وغالباً بيضطرك تقلع العزل كلّه.
