HARD – Hard Swiss Backing Pads

POWER/PAD hard heavy-duty backing pads for fibre discs — a rigid pad for high working pressure and maximum stock removal.

Recommended with ceramic and zirconia fibre discs (SAIT 9S, AZ) on heavy grinding, where a standard pad flexes too much.

Applications

• Heavy weld grinding and bevelling
• Scale and mill-scale removal under high pressure
• Getting full performance from ceramic and zirconia fibre discs

How to use it

1. Use the 110 mm pad for 115 mm discs and the 170 mm pad for 180 mm discs.
2. Screw onto the grinder (M14), fit the fibre disc and tighten with the locking nut.
3. Work at a shallow angle; the hard pad transfers more pressure, so keep the grinder moving.
